Why is my online gift amount higher than what I entered?

- When you donate online, a small portion of that donation is used to cover the cost of processing your payment securely. You have the option to cover that cost to ensure that 100% of your gift goes directly to the families served by Children’s Harbor.
To remove the additional amount from your gift, uncheck the box next to “I’d like to cover the fees associated with my donation so more of my donation goes directly to Children’s Harbor.”
How do I submit a tribute gift and request a mailed card to the recipient?
- To submit a gift in memory or in honor of someone, follow these steps:
- Click the yellow “Donate” button at the top right of this page.
- On the form, enter your gift amount.
- Directly underneath your gift amount, check the box “Dedicate my donation in honor or in memory of someone” and complete the tribute information.
- Under “Printed Card,” check the box “Send a card in the mail” and complete the information for the recipient of the card.
- You are not required to request a card.
- Complete the rest of the form and submit your gift.
Your gift will be acknowledged to your email and the recipient will be sent a card with the tribute information provided.
I prefer to mail my donation, rather than donate online. Where should I send the check?
- Please send your check, made out to “Children’s Harbor” with any designation in the memo line to the following address:

How can I sign up for email gift acknowledgments?
If you give online, your gift will be immediately acknowledged via the email provided. If you give by check or cash, you can also opt in to receive email gift acknowledgments. By opting in, you are consenting to receive acknowledgments via email instead of mail for all monetary gifts (excluding gifts received through Chapel/Church in the Pines and annual tax letters).
Note: If you give through a Donor Advised Fund, you can choose to receive emailed acknowledgments for personal gifts and continue to receive paper acknowledgments for DAF gifts.

How do I submit an online gift on behalf of my company?
- To submit a gift from a company or organization, follow these steps:
- Click the yellow “Donate” button at the top right of this page.
- Enter your gift information and, and when entering credit card details at the bottom, check the box next to “Is this a company credit card?” and type the company name in the box.
Your gift will be acknowledged via the email address you provided.
What is Children’s Harbor tax identification number?
- Our tax identification number is 57-0892070.
Are donations to Children’s Harbor tax deductible?
- Children’s Harbor is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your gift is tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law.
I would like to update my mailing address or email address.
- Please send your changes to [email protected] and we will be happy to update your record. Please provide both your old and new addresses. Please note that you may receive 1-2 additional pieces of mail to the previous address before the change in your record is reflected.
How do I modify or cancel my recurring/monthly gift to Children’s Harbor?
- To modify your recurring gift, please email [email protected].

Our commitment to our donors is that we will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by Children’s Harbor, both online and offline, on any platform, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.
