The story goes that when the storms were the most severe and the seas were at their roughest, lighthouse keepers would ask the residents along the shore to put lights in their windows to help guide the storm-tossed sailors to safety. These lights became known as the lower lights.
Children’s Harbor Lower Lights Society is a way that donors can guide families to safety through planned giving.
Planned gifts of any size to the Children’s Harbor Endowment Fund help provide services to children with long-term serious illnesses and their families – and help them navigate these difficult waters.
To become a member of the Lower Lights Society, just notify LeAnn Crowe (Phone: (256) 239-6671) that you have made a planned giving gift to Children's Harbor. You do not need to divulge the amount of the gift unless you so desire.
