Art on the Lake at Lake Martin

Art on the Lake, scheduled for Memorial Day weekend 2018, provides an opportunity for artists from all over the Southeast to showcase their art. Original work, including canvas, jewelry, pottery and sculpture are available for purchase with a portion of the sale benefitting Children’s Harbor.

For Artists at the festival, things get started on Friday, May 25 with set up and end Sunday, May 27 with breakdown.

Friday, May 25, 2018 - Set up your space

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Someone will be at the location to direct you to your space. All vehicles must be out of the festival area by Friday at 4:30 PM. if you arrive after that, your vehicle will not be allowed inside the festival grounds and your art will have to be hand carted in.

Saturday, May 26, 2018 - Open to Public

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

This is your time to show your work! It's a full day, so volunteers will be available for booth sitting Saturday and Sunday. Security will be provided Friday and Saturday night.

Sunday, May 27, 2018 - Open to Public

9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Wrap up the festival with sales and new clients! Volunteers will be available for booth sitting Saturday and Sunday. Security will be provided Friday and Saturday night.

Sunday, May 27, 2018 - Breakdown

2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Take down cannot begin before 2:00 pm on Sunday.

Artisan Guidelines

We understand it's a commitment to market your art at any event. To help you prepare for traveling, setting up, selling and breaking down, we've answered some of the most common questions and concerns in this section. If you have additional questions, please email Rachael White or call (334) 857-2037.

We will have hired security for Friday and Saturday night.
A complimentary continental breakfast for the artist and one guest will be available Saturday and Sunday morning at Hank’s Cabin.
Food vendors will be at the event for you to purchase lunch.
No electricity will be provided unless pre-approved for demonstration purposes.
This is an outdoor event on unleveled, sometimes rocky and damp terrain. The festival is not responsible for loss or damage to tents, displays, art or personal belongings. Please come prepared.
Upon acceptance, a Artist booth registration fee of $75 will be due. This is a non-refundable fee.
Artists are asked for a donation of 20% of their sales upon festival closing.
Tents, with grids to hang art on three sides, can be rented for $120 each. Rented tents include a grid for hanging art on three sides. You will need to bring your own “S” hooks.
Booth spaces are 10ft. x 10ft.
8ft tables can be rented for $25 each.
Artists may purchase two event t-shirts for $5.00 off with a coupon that will be in your arrival packet.
Artists are responsible for collecting and paying a 4% sales tax to the State of Alabama and a 1% sales tax to Elmore County.

Artisan Application

Due to limited space, our commitment to maintain a high standard of art and the desire to provide a wide variety of art and crafts for patrons, we ask all interested artists to complete an application, including the submission of three images that represent your artwork and collection. There is no fee to apply.
