Director of Community Relations

As the Community Relations Coordinator my primary role will be to introduce people in the community to Children's Harbor's mission and to recruit opportunities for churches and other organizations to use the Children's Harbor facilities at the Lake Martin campus.

My first introduction to Children's Harbor was 10 years ago when I started singing at the Children's Harbor Chapel Service. As my children grew up and I had more time, I started to volunteer at various events.  The more I became involved with Children's Harbor, the more I wanted to become a working part of it.

I was raised in the New Site area, graduate from New Site High School and attended Central Alabama Community College . I have worked in a professional field dealing with the public for over 20 years.

 Even though I live in Alexander City now, my family and I still attend Rocky Creek Baptist Church , in the New Site Community, where my husband David is a deacon and I am the youth leader.

I have been married to David since 1979.  We have 2 sons (Derek, who lives and works in Atlanta and Daniel, who attends school and lives in Auburn ).
