Marty Krauel
Camp Director

Marty is a recent arrival from California. He retired after 32 years in the law enforcement field.  Marty worked for municipal and county police agencies.  He served for fifteen years in uniform and worked for seventeen years in plain clothes detective divisions.  Marty specialized in child sexual assault, undercover narcotics, auto theft, and elder abuse.

Marty has attended numerous community colleges, and holds basic, intermediate, advanced, and expert certifications in the law enforcement field.  He also possesses a California Community College teaching credential.

Marty and his wife Debra have been married since 1979.  Together they have three sons, Tyler, Travis, and Cody.  Tyler is employed as a police officer in California .  Travis is a firefighter with Alexander City Fire Department, and  Cody attends Benjamin Russell High School where he is active in wrestling.  Debra volunteers at Childrens Harbor thrift store.  Marty, Debra, Travis and Cody attend First Baptist Church in Alexander City .

Marty is excited about having the opportunity to work serve here at Children's Harbor.
