Prior to accepting the position of receptionist at Children's Harbor Family Center, I acquired experience in a variety of fields. I have worked as a receptionist with Title Insurance Company for 1 year, as well as an administrative assistant with Southtrust Bank for 6 years. For more than 20 years, I worked as a talented seamstress making wedding gowns and brides' maids dresses and in my church day care for 18 years. Although children have always been precious to me, while working at the day care I developed an overwhelming love and understanding for them. I discovered that I want to make a difference in the life of children. Therefore, I view my job at Children's Harbor Family Center as the answer to my prayer. I feel that this is where I belong and everyday I am excited to start my day at work. My work at the Center gives me the opportunity to encourage the brokenhearted. I have found that a smile, hug, encouraging word, or listening ear can make all the difference in a person's life. I feel blessed to help make Children's Harbor feel like a home away from home. After all, it's like home to me!
