Liz Gunter, MA, LPC, NCC
Pulmonary and Rehab Medicine Counselor

Liz is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She received a Masters degree in counseling from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2003 and a Bachelors degree in religious studies from Auburn University in 1998. Prior to joining Children's Harbor Family Center , Liz worked at Southern Oaks Center where she provided counseling services to at-risk youth in residential treatment. She also formerly worked at Family Connection as the T.O.P.S. (Therapeutic Outreach Program in the Schools) Counselor during the school year as well as an Adventure Based Counselor during the summer months.

Liz is a member of the Alabama Counseling Association, Alabama Mental Health Counseling Association, and Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor Society. Special interests in the field of counseling include: adolescence, adventure based counseling, family of origin issues, behavior modification, substance abuse, and adjustment issues.
